The Balm in a pot is better
I have been a huge fan of cleansing balms for years, and have tried and tested most of the cleansing balms that Space NK sell. I thought I would try this one because I liked the idea of it having a pump dispenser, which is very handy, less messy and probably more hygienic. However, while this does do the job of removing make up well, it is also quite stiff, and harder to warm up in your hands before using it. I also like to use my cleansing balms with a facial steamer sometimes too if I've already removed my make up, and I find that usually it makes cleansing balms really warm, oily and easier to massage in. With this is stiffens and becomes quite difficult to work with - probably because of the 'gel' part maybe? I have used the version of this product that comes in a screw top pot too, If you're like me and like your cleansing balms to become quite oily when they're heated you're probably better of going for the pot version. When this used with water its fine, but for the price point you can do better Another thing to note is this has a VERY earthy smell which is VERY strong - I personally don't mind this and quite like it and has spa vibes, but when my parter used this for the first time he gagged and protested that it smelt like soil. If you're not a fan of heavily fragrenced things you're not going to like this.

Looks like snot! Smells awful! But is a great cleanser and skin feels lovely afterwards.

Awful smell
Tried for the first time today and the smell is just awful. Couldn’t wait to get it off my face. So expensive and won’t be using it again.

Absolutely Love this Cleanser
This Eve Lom face cleanser is such a nice product, the essential oils give it a nice earthy scent to their cleansers which makes them very relaxing to use. This cleanser that comes in a gel balm form has a smoother texture which gently nourishes the skin. I love that their products are effortless to use and make up just melts away. I’ve tried the Eve Lom Cleanser balm with the muslim cloth before and love the cleanser in both forms. This Eve Lom face cleanser is perfect to massage into your face whilst you’re in the shower. It’s aromatic and nice to wind down with. The blend is benfitial for the skin and is great for renewing and brightening. My face is quite dry and a lot of Eve Lom’s oil based products work very well with my skin. The consistency of this is nice and although it’s an expensive purchase a little gos along way with this and they are unique. I would definitely buy both products that i’ve tried from them again.

A little goes a long way
This 100ml cleanser lasts for ages as you don't need to use much. It is a gorgeous texture which melts onto your face as you massage it over your skin and it rinses easily away. It lost a star for me because of the scent which I find rather earthy and am not a fan off.
